But that just wouldn't be very interesting, now would it?
Instead, we want you to get to know the real Animas Canada, the faces of our team (many of whom have diabetes themselves) who get up every day inspired by others with diabetes and pumpers like you.

Who is Animas Canada?
Name: Anthony Petrovich
Position: Territory Manager, British Columbia
Why I joined the team at Animas®: I’ve worked for Animas for the last 5 years. Prior to Animas, I worked as a Specialty Diabetes Representative with Novo Nordisk for 8 years. I’ve been immersed in diabetes for the last 13 years, and although I don’t have diabetes myself, I think it has grown on me emotionally. As part of my job, I get to meet families sometimes in the first few days of diagnosis and that has a huge impact. I remember one specifically: a newly diagnosed 11 month old, she was so tiny and her mom looked like she had been hit with a freight train. It is such a stressful and emotional time for the family. That was about 2 years ago. I see this family regularly now, and happily today both mother and daughter are doing great. I’m happy to work for a company that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.
A few fun facts about me: I like good food and I like to run. Although, eating while running is something I have yet to master!
The most rewarding part of my job is: Working within the diabetes community, I have had the opportunity to join and eventually lead “Team One” a group of young people who want to show the world that there is nothing that motivated people living with Type 1 diabetes cannot achieve. Team One has trekked to Everest Base Camp, Machu Picchu and most recently Mt. Kilimanjaro. Together, we have changed people’s impressions and attitudes towards diabetes and in the process also raised over $200,000 for JDRF.
